Not only there are young and talented groups presenting themselves at the International A CAPPELLA Contest – the festival also invites the young to join their parents in the "a cappella fever". (Although we like to see it the other way around: We invite the kids to go to an "a cappella" concert and bring their parents with them. :) The "a cappella" family concert is successful since its first issue in 2009 and now takes place for the fifth time – as usual at the Alte Handelsbörse in the inner city. With an average age of 19 years this year’s performers Sjaella are the youngest group to give the family concert so far and, one could say, almost still at children's age themselves. But the six girls from Leipzig are young ladies already and – of course – absolutely professional in what they do. In 2009, for example, they won 3rd prize at our A CAPPELLA Contest (back then under the name 'Chickpeas'.) Who else could fit better? Sjaella are going to bring the joy of singing to the young and the "old" a cappella fans with two hour-long concerts on May 26th. Come together! The tickets are already available.
