Polyphonic Kaleidoscope

Being one of the most accomplished early music ensembles for more than four decades, the Huelgas Ensemble headed by artistic director Paul Van Nevel will be honouring the 20th a cappella festival with examples from this repertoire. It will be presenting a broad programme entitled ‘Kaleidoscope’ comprising pieces from the 14th to the late-16th centuries showing the development and diversity of all genres and musical styles of this period. Whether three- or seven-part, secular or spiritual work, de Rore or Agricola, this varied recital will be full of surprises and looks set to delight all aficionados of polyphonic a cappella gems.
