In the a cappella Masterclass, ensembles taking part in the International a cappella Contest Leipzig have the chance to work on their repertoire with a vocal music professional. Audience members and fellow ensembles are invited to follow the process live – and to enjoy one or two unmistakable musical light-bulb moments along the way.
For many years now, the Masterclass has been led by Stephen Connolly, longtime bass of the legendary King’s Singers, who today shares his experience and ideas through his International A Cappella School. With an expert ear and eye, a generous dose of British humour and a deep love of a cappella singing, he helps young groups bring newly polished sounds to the surface, sharpen their focus and stage presence, and leaves them with a wealth of insights to take home. Definitely something to watch!
