For our festival’s silver jubilee, we couldn’t miss out on one or two of the old guard – especially when they still need to be freshly served here! At any rate, the ones presented here are genuine veterans. They really are Die Echten – the a cappella comedy veterans from our neighbouring country of Austria. Cultivated nonsense coupled with a sophisticated lack of instruments is what the four of them have stood for – for a quarter of a century. With their latest programme ‘Dingsda’ (‘Thingamajig’), they’ll be taking us on a musical journey across Austria full of surprises and (misheard) moments that (the title says it all) often can’t be explained, but have to be seen and heard to be believed. So let’s look forward to a guest performance with charm, wit and a cowboy hat – or similar, you know, thingamajigs!
