Prepare to be enchanted by exquisite vocal music from the Renaissance and Baroque periods at a cappella 2025, when Profeti della Quinta return to delight us for the second time. This ensemble, founded in Israel and Switzerland, specializes in vocal works from the 16th and 17th centuries, and has unearthed rarely performed repertoire by Jewish composers, including works in the Hebrew language. For their programme at the 2025 festival, Profeti will be combining works by Salomone Rossi and Claudio Monteverdi, two composers who are known for their very different compositions, but who share some biographical (and possibly musical?) links. The ensemble will be presenting thematic and musical gems ‘From synagogue to palace’ with their very own esprit!
